COVID-19 Updates

End Of Week Message

The Zulu say ‘Yiz’ uvalo, inqobo yisibindi’- loosely translated, ‘It is not fear, but courage that is important.’ The Enjabulweni community has impressed with its courage during these Covid-19 times. We have bandied together and worked for the good of all our learners, from Grade 0 right up to Grade 12.
The whole community jumped into the e-learning space and gave our learners the opportunity to continue moving ahead with the syllabus. Whilst others were still debating what to do, we were working out the chinks in our system and enhancing the learning process for this new normal. I thank all of you for walking with us into the novel way of doing things. We must be proud to say that we acknowledged the fear but trusted our courage to take us forward.
As we near the end of the term, it is worth noting that our learners will not have a wasted year but will progress into their new grades as seamlessly as possible in 2021. Even the Grade 0s have been able to continue with their learning thanks to Mrs Sandeep and her innovation. We appreciate the role that the parents/ guardians are playing at home to assist the teachers.
The Grade 12s have been in school since the 7th of July and have ramped up their preparations for their Preliminary and Final Examinations. The National Benchmarking Tests were written successfully on 18 July and School Based Assessments are ongoing and on track in almost all of the subjects.
The school is in the process of adapting our primary school to the new Covid-19 regulations requirements – a mammoth task. We are changing the desks; ensuring social/physical distancing marks are in place in classes, developing Handwashing stations and refining protocols for the return of our younger learners.
Please stay safe, wear masks, keep social distance and wash hands.
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Regards
Kamota
